India: a country that doesn't like women

I know it is a very disturbing thing to say about any country what the title is saying but trust me I was also as shattered when I got to know about it. This title that I have decided for my post is originally a documentary on a YouTube channel in which how people in rural or even urban areas of India do not want a girl as a child in their house. And it's not like this documentary is few years old and I suddenly watched it and now I am talking about it, but this documentary is the most recent one. It was posted on 18th November 2018 so I can say this still is the most culpable problem that we have and nobody even address about it. It's nobody's concern.

In this documentary they showed a small village in Rajasthan and that village is running out of girls. When this question was asked that why you guys don't want girls in your house, the answer was " raising girls is very expensive. And when they grow older they might get in touch with boys which will bring disgrace to our house and we want only male dominance in our house", and that's why whenever a girl child is born, they put her in a box and put mud over it and keep it overnight and in the morning they bury that box.

This is not only a problem in rural areas. I know that urban areas are a little bit educated and that's why they don't kill their girls that brutely but go to a hospital and get it done. And even if parents are not against to raise a girl child, after a girl is married and she is not happy in her relationship, "what will people say so you should go to your own house no Matter how your husband keeps you,you have to be tolerant and don't leave that person and come to our house", is said by that girl's parents.

I have seen it happening in my own neighborhood. A girl was married six months ago and now her husband beats her, her father in law once tried to beat her but her family is not even suggesting her to come back because she is pregnant and the other reason is "what will people say, that she couldn't survive even six months. She must be a bad daughter in law or wife". This is the mentality of 21st century's India.

In India a women is Sita, Radha, Durga, Lakshmi, Kali but only in scriptures. In real world she is only meant to do housework, give birth to the heir of the house and still be called characterless if she dares to talk about her own self, if she dares to speak for her own right. In today's world it is very easy to label a girl as characterless. Because she is going out, coming late, talking to boys, not making food, not wearing suits, wearing whatever she likes. She must have some wrong upbringing.

In the end I just want to say that we talk about girls right. Her right to education, her right to live the way she want, her right to work, but I think the most important right that we don't give them and they can't even protest is their right to live. This is the most important right. Every other opportunity is based on this very thing. So let them live. Let them see this world and let them change it and make better for themselves so their parents would not have to worry about anything.

Milk and honey: book review

hiii,
today i want to talk about a book and that is "milk and honey" by " rupi kaur". this is my first ever poetry book that i read and i think i am going to read more poetry books after this one.
i know so many people didn't like this poetry book because of the way it is written. some people said that it is an inspirational quotes book and not a poetry book. i got to know that this is a free verse poetry book and people were saying that if you write anything in the name of free verse poetry, it just does not make it a poem.

so i don't know how to judge a poetry because this is my first one and i kust want to say that if after reading this book, i indulge myself into reading more poems than i don't think it is that bad of a book. this book has opened another world of books that was close for me so i think i should like this book. in my opinion this is book that depends on how you take it. this book has poems(quotes) that are inspiring for me. and the one thing that i like about this book is that it is written in short case and that's why i also have written this post in short case and i am enjoying it.
so now lets talk about this poetry book.

milk and honey is a collection of poetry and prose about survival. about the experience of violence, abuse, love, loss, and femininity. this book is divided into fpur chapters, and each chapter serves a different purpose. deals with a different pain. heals a different heartache. milk and honey takes readers through a journey of the most bitter moments in lifeand find sweetness in them because there is sweetness everywhere if you are willing to find it.
this book has picture with many poems. and i kinda liked that about this book. I read this book in probably an hour.
i liked some of the poems of this book, though not every poem. so if you are a first time reading a poetry ,i think you will like it. and i think i like this book because it is not those traditional kind of poems and has a different style, that's why i liked it.
i am not judging this book on its writing style because i am not a book critique. i am just a reader who reads book and talk about them. i liked the essence of this book.
this is the poem which just suits me perfectly because i look like my mother but i was a very short tempered person like my father though now neither he nor i are angry birds anymore.

There are also some poems or line i liked.
let me know how you like this poetry book or nor or are a poetry reader. Let me know..
Ok bye for now....

Animal farm: book review

Hi,
So after so many days of this book lying on my shelf, I finally picked this book up to read. And I am very happy that I read it.
Animal farm is a novella which to be said is based on 1917 Russian Revolution. But because I don't know much about Russian Revolution or communism, I didn't read this book with that perspective. Instead I read this as a story of hunger of power, of entity,of naive dreams and hopes.

The story starts with in a farm called the "Manor farm" which is owned by Mr. Jones. And there are so many animals living and working for him. But one night, a boar called "Old Major" calls out every Animal and tell them about a dream that he had seen last night, a dream of a world without humans, and tell all the animal to start a rebellion against the owner and start to live free, free from every boundaries.
Few days later Old Major died. But his words still remained in The farm. All the animals were filled with passion to start a rebellion against the owner and threw him out of the farm. And eventually that did happened. Mr Jones was gone and now the Manor farm was "Animal Farm". For few months everything was right and every animal on the farm was living their best life. Eating anytime they want, working for themselves and not for any human's profit.
Suddenly Snowball the boar became who used to use his mind for the betterment of the farm. He taught animals to read and write. And the other boar called Napoleon taught them about Animalism. They adopted seven rules of Animalism.

After the battle of cowshed, the popularity of snowball increased. Napoleon started to be against snowball's thinking. Whatever snowball used to say, Napoleon was always against him. And after few days Napoleon chased  away from the farm and declared himself as leader.

After this whatever Napoleon said was accepted by the animals because they thought that whatever Napoleon doing was for the betterment of the farm and if after his some cruel or selfish decisions, any animal dare to ask anything, Squealer, anpther pig and servent of Napoleon make them understand That whatever happening was for the betterment of the farm.
All the animals worked so hard throughout these years and were not getting enough food as compare to what they used to get because of their blind trust in Napoleon and they always thought that their life was much better now then thr life they were living under jones rule.
Slowly Napoleon started to behave like a dictator and had made rules according to the convenience of all the pigs and his pet dogs. While the whole farm was getting weaker every passing day, the pigs were becoming fatter and fatter.
He started making deals with humans as well when it was strictly forbidden by all animals. There is my favorite line in the end which says "The creatures outside looked from pig to man and from man to pig and from pig to man again, but already it was impossible to say which was which".
I liked the whole story . I like all the animals, and i felt so sorry for all of them. But at the same time i was like, how can you trust someone that much. I specially felt so bad for "Boxer", the horse. He was my favorite character. But i hated Napoleon. And Squealer was not less.
So i can say i loved this story. It is a very short and quick read because it's a very engaging story.
And it is depicting a revolution which i don't know about and now my curiosity has increased to know about that.
I will let you guys know if i ever read about the russian revolution and its connection with animal farm. But you should read this book.
